Let Reder Landscaping's crews deliver and install your mulch today! Forget about hauling truckloads of poor quality mulch from the gas station, only to have it fade or blow away!

Our crews have a precise method for quality installation that will make your mulch look it's best all year round. Listed below is the exact process we follow.

  1. Delivery of mulch
  2. Establish a lip inside of beds to hold mulch.
  3. Apply pre-emergent herbicide to the bed areas
  4. Install and spread mulch to 2"-3" depth.
  5. Remove mulch from foliage of plants.
  6. Cleanup debris from installation process.
  7. Properly dispose of debris.
  8. Blow concrete surfaces & turf clear of debris.
  9. Tuck mulch neatly into bed lines.

How much mulch do I need for my flower and shrub beds?

  1. Measure your beds (length x width)
  2. Deduct 20-30% for plant & shrub space. You now have the square feet for the area of your beds.
  3. There are two different formulas to follow to calculate the proper amount of mulch needed.
  • When purchasing 3 cubic foot bagged mulch: divide the Square feet of your beds by 15-20. (Use the a higher number like 20 if you are re-mulching and existing beds. Use a lower number like 15 if you are mulching a new area that has not been previously mulched)
  • When purchasing Bulk mulch for large areas: divide the square feet of your beds by 120-160. (Use the a higher number like 160 if you are re-mulching and existing beds. Use a lower number like 120 if you are mulching a new area that has not been previously mulched)
