Spring 2012 has been a crazy one so far.  Not only is it an early spring, but an incredibly warm one as well.  Most days in the past 2 weeks have been in the 70’s and even the 80’s on a few occasions.  Temperatures this warm this early in the year are unprecedented.  Coming on the heels of a very mild winter, we’re seeing things in regards to plant and insect activity that we’ve never seen before.

In this video Paul Reder and Nick Felice discuss some of the things they’re seeing in the landscape and some things that homeowners should be aware of.  Who knows what Mother Nature has in store for us for the rest of this spring, but we’ll be keeping you updated as the season progresses.

As Nick points out, grub damage is expected to be high this spring. Read about recognizing and managing grubs here.
