Celebrating 60 Years of Reder Landscaping: A Look Back at Our Roots

On June 19th, we proudly celebrated a major milestone—60 years of serving the Great Lakes Bay Region with thoughtful, high-quality landscaping. What began in 1965 as a small operation founded by Walt Reder, Jr. has grown into a trusted, family-owned company with deep roots in Midland and a passion for enhancing outdoor spaces throughout our community.

Walt, Jr. started the business with a clear vision: to provide reliable, professional landscaping services backed by hard work and integrity. Over the years, his sons—Paul, Dave, and Mike—joined the company, helping it grow in both size and capability while staying true to its founding values – treat every property as if it were your own. Their leadership shaped Reder Landscaping into the full-service design-build firm it is today, known for everything from fine gardening and irrigation to large-scale outdoor living spaces.

Now, the third generation of the Reder family has stepped in, rising to the occasion and taking on leadership roles within the company. With fresh energy and the same deep-rooted passion for landscaping, they are proudly spearheading the next chapter of Reder Landscaping’s legacy.

Our 60th anniversary is more than just a celebration—it’s a reflection of the relationships we’ve built, the trust we’ve earned, and the community we’re honored to be part of. The ribbon cutting held at our Rockwell Drive location was a heartfelt thank-you to our clients, team members, and supporters who have made the past six decades possible.
