Yesterday, Dahlia Hill held a fantastic event celebrating the Autumn Equinox and another season of gorgeous Dahlias.   Dahlia Hill is one of the very special and unique attractions we have here in Midland.

The organizers of the event offered cider and donuts, gardening goodies for sale, music by Cool Lemon Jazz, open and free tours of the Charles Breed art studio (amazing! If you’ve never seen it, its a must), and of course, thousands of gorgeous, blooming Dahlias.

It’s a joy for us to see the beauty of Dahlia Hill.  A few years ago, we helped them with build their stone walls to retain and preserve the face of the hill.    This was an interesting and challenging project, one we were very proud to be a part of.   You can see views of the project and learn about its challenges from beginning to end in the previous blog post: http://rederland.wpengine.com/landscape-design/dahlia-hill-a-problem-site-transformed-into-garden-treasure/
