This season, Reder Landscaping has the pleasure of sponsoring and participating in two local holiday walks, each benefiting our community.  In addition to our landscapes being featured, we have the opportunity to demonstrate our Holiday Lighting services and will be decorating a home on both walks — both in Larkin Meadows – Ironwood Estates.

Both Holiday Walks will feature an eclectic mix of new, nostalgic, and historic homes in the area — each one decked out for the holidays by both homeowners and businesses.  It’s a lovely way to welcome in the holiday season, mingle with the community, and see some area homes.  Whether you are looking for holiday decorating ideas, home decorating ideas, or just out for fun, these are both guaranteed to be enjoyable events — and both are giving back to our community in a big way!

Zonta Homewalk

First, the 3Zonta Homewalk 20144th annual Zonta Homewalk, a Midland tradition, will be December 6-7 from 1:00 – 5:00 each day.  The Zonta Club of Midland has contributed almost a 1/2 million dollars to community projects and scholarships that support the advancement of women, and the HomeWalk is their biggest fundraiser.

We are honored to be a Gold Sponsor this year!  There is a fantastic selection of homes on the tour, including the “Dome House”, which is celebrating its 50th year!  If you’ve ever wanted a peek inside this 4,000 square historic home and architectural icon, now’s your chance!

Tickets can be purchased for $15 in advance, or $20 day of.  You can find a convenient local retailer who is selling advance tickets here.

Homes for the Holidays

Secondly, we’re excited to be involved in the inaugural year of the “Homes for the Holidays” walk as a Foundation Supporter. The “Homes for the Holidays” walk is on Friday, December 12 from 2 – 8 pm.MidMichigan Cobblestone Reder

Homes for the Holidays Cobblestone“Homes for the Holidays” is a collaboration between Cobblestone Home Builders, MidMichigan Health, and many other organizations in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

This festive holiday walking tour is a fundraiser to help MidMichigan Health address a specific need in their efforts to better serve our community.  This year the focus is on acquiring leading-edge breast cancer detection equipment.

The collaboration is the result of a partnership between Mark Wahl of Cobblestone Home Builders and Rick Reynolds, retired CEO and President of MidMichigan Health.  Together they have established a new non-profit organization, whose purpose is to “help support the health and well-being of families throughout the region by partnering with MidMichigan Health to raise funds for specific needs in the areas MidMichigan Health serves”.

A series of homes featuring both indoor and outdoor decoration will be featured on the walk.  Reder Landscaping holiday lighting will be featured on the Cobblestone Model Home in Ironwood Estates where the walk’s afterglow party will take place!

Tickets for the walk are $20 and can be purchased in advance on the Cobblestone website here.   Tickets purchased the day of the event will be $25.Homes for the Holidays
